Black Friday sales are here, which means the competition for scoring savings on this year’s most in-demand tech is fiercer than ever. Yet somehow, miraculously, two colors of the latest Apple Watch — you know, the one that dropped only a month ago — were on sale and in stock at Amazon at the time of writing.
As of Nov. 16, you can grab the Apple Watch Series 7 (with the newly expanded 41mm face and without cellular connection) in either green aluminum or (PRODUCT)RED aluminum for just $389.99. That’s $10 cheaper than you’ll find it at the Apple Store, Best Buy, or Walmart. Expert analysts we spoke to told us to expect that this smartwatch will only get more difficult to find as the holidays approach, on sale or otherwise, so while this isn’t the hugest price drop ever, you might as well save a few bucks and get your hands on the Series 7 while you can.
There aren’t too many hardware changes between this watch and the Series 6, but the design really is the star of the show. While a one-millimeter difference on the watch face might sound nearly negligible, it actually means that the buttons will be bigger and more text will be on the screen — up to 50% more, to be exact. Plus, the screen can fit a full keyboard, which has the potential to improve the iMessage experience. While the health trackers are exactly the same as the previous generation, there is increased support for workouts like biking and e-biking.
We wouldn’t necessarily say you have to update from your Series 6, but if you were already in the market for a new smartwatch, the Series 7 brings the design upgrades without a ridiculous price upgrade. Check it out at Amazon while it’s on sale for a limited time only.
