Save 50% on the Microsoft Surface Buds, now $99.99

Save 50%: As of Dec. 21, the new Microsoft Surface Buds have hit record low pricing of $99.99 on Microsoft’s website. That’s a $100 savings on earbuds that just came out in September.

Microsoft’s newest Surface Buds don’t look like any other truly wireless earbuds on the market. At some angles, they don’t look like earbuds at all.

But they still deserve consideration, especially now that the gripe weighing down their “con” list — that they’re too expensive for what you get — has been solved by a sale at Microsoft. As of Dec. 21, you can save 50% on the Surface Buds and snag ’em for $99.99. According to the shipping section on the listing, they can still arrive before Christmas.

If you remember, we certainly weren’t seeing the price of AirPods cut in half just four months after their release. At less than $100, they’re a much easier chunk of change to justify, and almost $70 less than the current sale price on the AirPods 3.

The circular design is a statement if we’ve ever seen on and is lightyears away from the classic bud and stem design from Apple. Microsoft’s fit is more secure as well, plus IPX4 water resistance.

Microsoft didn’t add noise cancellation to its latest Surface Buds, but the new AirPods 3 don’t do that, either. To some extent, you may not even notice ambient noise leaking in if you’re already lost in the customized EQ of these buds, which can be toggled on the app. The Surface Buds offer a pretty full soundstage, even if it’s not as detailed as more expensive buds.
