Anker’s smart home brand, Eufy, has revealed a collection of new security cameras at CES 2022. The collection is led by the battery-powered Eufy Security Video Doorbell Dual, which attempts to solve the issue of keeping both people and packages under close watch.
As its name suggests, the Dual actually has two cameras. One is a forward-facing 2K primary for visitors and the other is a 1080p secondary aimed at a downward angle. The primary has a 160-degree field of view, while the latter covers 120 degrees. The smaller FoV there should still be plenty if you want to check that groceries were delivered.

Like the Nest Doorbell, the Dual can distinguish people and packages, and even identify friends and family. It also can detect general motion, as expected. One advantage in the new Eufy doorbell’s corner is that while it requires a bundled hub — the Eufy HomeBase 2 — it does not require a subscription. That hub offers 16GB of storage for up to 90 days of local recording. Eufy also has paid cloud subscriptions, though, if you want one.
Another advantage over the Nest Doorbell is support for both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The Nest product, obviously, only supports Google.
The new Eufy doorbell is shipping February 8 for $350.
The Eufy Security Garage Control Cam and Cam Plus
Eufy’s new garage accessories are designed to both control your garage door and monitor the garage itself. The basic Security Garage Control Cam uses a 1080p camera and can operate a single door, pairing with sensors to monitor that door’s status. The Garage Control Cam Plus simply steps up to a 2K camera and operates two doors.
Both models can distinguish between people, vehicles, and other movements using onboard AI processing. In fact, the pair are hub-free and can record locally with SD cards up to 32GB. Four-second pre-roll recording means you shouldn’t miss any critical moments.
The Garage Control Cam and Cam Plus are due to launch in March, priced at $99 and $129 respectively.
