TL;DR
- Samsung might roll out the One UI 4.1 update for the Galaxy S21 series by the end of this month.
- The information comes courtesy of a person who allegedly confirmed it from a Verizon representative.
According to information shared by a tipster with Piunikaweb, the One UI 4.1 update for the Galaxy S21 series could be right around the corner. A Verizon representative allegedly confirmed to the person that the software is coming between the end of this month and early March. However, it seems that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be the only device that’ll get the update in this time period. Verizon support could not confirm the availability timeline for the vanilla S21 and the S21 Plus.
It’s worth noting that the One UI 3.1 update landed for the Galaxy S20 series a little more than two weeks after the launch of the Galaxy S21 lineup. So it is more than likely that the Galaxy S21 phones will get the latest One UI version in the coming days.
One UI 4.1 is based on Android 12 and brings a host of optimizations over One UI 4.0. It also adds some handy new features such as the ability to choose how much virtual RAM you want, a smart calendar for automatically picking up dates from messaging apps, improvements to Samsung Pay, Smart Widgets, and more.
If you’re waiting for One UI 4.1 to hit your Galaxy S21 devices, you can keep an eye on our dedicated update tracker for the series to know when the update rolls out.
