OnePlus is readying a new Nord product and it’s not a phone

TL;DR

  • OnePlus is reportedly working on a phone code-named Oscar.
  • It’s believed that this is part of the brand’s numbered series of flagships.
  • Images of Nord-branded true wireless earbuds have also leaked online.

OnePlus has already launched the OnePlus 10 Pro in China, and the company is expected to launch plenty more devices later this year. Now, 91mobiles has reported on two new gadgets that OnePlus is said to be working on.

For starters, the outlet and tipster Yogesh Brar have reported that OnePlus is working on a phone code-named Oscar. Furthermore, the tipster says that this phone will be part of OnePlus’ numbered series (e.g. OnePlus 8, OnePlus 9, etc).

The device is tipped to arrive in Q2 2022, and it’s speculated that this could be the OnePlus 10. We’re leaning towards this being the case too, although it could be something like the OnePlus 10R if this isn’t actually the OnePlus 10.

The first Nord earbuds are coming

91mobiles and OnLeaks also shared renders of what is claimed to be the first Nord-branded true wireless earbuds. The images show a black and gold design along with a pill-shaped charging case with gold ‘OnePlus’ branding. Check it out in the images above.

It’s claimed that the renders are based on images of final prototypes, so it’s possible that smaller details change between now and the release.

There’s no word on specs and pricing for the Nord TWS earbuds, but the Nord series of phones are mid-range or low-end products. It, therefore, stands to reason that these earbuds are budget-tier offerings.
