As Leto explains, Marvel used to steer clear of characters who were considered too supernatural. So the introduction of Morbius (aka The Living Vampire) marked the beginning of an exciting, darker turn for the comics giant and the Spider-Man he battled. The teaser features footage from previous Morbius trailers, which show Dr. Michael Morbius discovering his new, vampiric powers.
