Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson is scheduled to be one of six passengers headed to the edge of outer space March 23 on a ship launched by Blue Origin, the private spaceflight company created by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. CNN was first to report.

Davidson will be part of the fourth human flight and 20th flight overall for the New Shepard program. Passengers on the flight experience about four minutes of weightlessness by traveling to the edge of space at an altitude of more than 65 miles. According to CNN, Davidson’s fellow passengers include “Marty Allen, an investor and the former CEO of a party supply store; Jim Kitchen, an entrepreneur and business professor; George Nield, a former associate administrator for the Federal Aviation Administration Office of Commercial Space Transportation; Marc Hagle, an Orlando real estate developer and his wife, Sharon Hagle, who founded a space-focused nonprofit.”

Back in May 2021, Davidson’s Chad character ventured to Mars to save the colonists at Elon Musk’s Space X Mars habitat–in an episode Musk hosted. This real-life space flight is just the latest in a long line of celebrities escaping the gravitational pull of Terra Firma–Bezos (and his brother Mark) went in July 2021, followed by Star Trek legend William Shatner in December 2021 at the age of 90.

In 2021, it was announced that Davidson was cast in the titular role of Netflix’s I Slept with Joey Ramone, an upcoming biopic that chronicles the life of the iconic frontman of the punk band. On March 9, Deadline reported that Davidson is to star as a fictional version of himself in a comedy series tentatively titled Bupkis, produced by SNL’s Lorne Michaels.
