Walmart+ Weekend deal: Grab an AncestryDNA + traits kit for over 40% off

Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

Save 44%: Want to find out the full extent of your family tree? The AncestryDNA + trait kit can help you do that. As of June 3, it’s on sale for $67 — a nice $52 off — as part of Walmart+ Weekend.

Statistically speaking, there’s probably at least one member of your family who’s super into your family tree. (We don’t have hard numbers to back this, but we know it’s true.) Whether that’s you, a sibling, or your parent — Father’s Day is coming up, by the way — a DNA kit can be a fun way to dive into your family’s past.

During Walmart+ Weekend, the AncestryDNA + trait kit is on sale for $67, down from its usual $119. Only Walmart+ members can access this deal, but considering the perks alongside the many sales available this weekend, you might just be tempted to sign up.

Simply put, AncestryDNA makes one of the best DNA kits. The company traces your DNA to over 1,500 regions across the world to offer the most accurate information about where you came from. In some cases, you’ll even be able to see why and how your ancestors moved from place to place.

The traits pack will tell you about how your genes influenced your personal traits like your appearance, which you can then compare with other AncestryDNA users. If you have some DNA matching with another person in the Ancestry database — i.e. a potential relative — you’ll also be alerted of that. And that’s all thanks to a saliva swab returned to you in six to eight weeks.

While it’s not the lowest price we’ve ever seen on this kit — and an Ancestry membership is needed to unlock the full benefits of the service — this is still a hefty markdown. Maybe even hefty enough to make one of those memberships worth it.
