Nothing is continuing to churn the hype machine for its first-ever smartphone (and second product overall). Today, the company is announcing the product’s launch date.
The Nothing Phone 1 launch date is July 12, 2022, at 4:00 PM BST (11:00 AM ET). At that time, Nothing will hold a livestream, during which we expect to see the phone itself as well as specs and other information. Obviously, we will likely also find out when you’ll be able to buy it and how much it will cost.
Interestingly, the event’s title is “Return to Instinct.” In true Nothing fashion, this is an enigmatic headline that appears to hint at what to expect while simultaneously giving little away. It’s possible the title hints at a return to simplicity in the Android world, which would make sense judging from what we know already about the Nothing Launcher.
Likewise, the digital invite — shown in the image above — appears to be a macro image of bird feathers. Could this be a hint as well? Or is the image not feathers and instead something else entirely? Your guesses are as good as ours here.
