CyberGhost VPN sale: Save 83% on a 40-month plan

SAVE $430.29: You can score a 40-month CyberGhost VPN plan(opens in a new tab) for just $2.23/month through June 23 as part of its 17th anniversary sale. That’s 83% off its usual $12.99/month rate.

One of our favorite cheap VPNs is even cheaper than usual as it celebrates a major milestone.

Now through Thursday, June 23, CyberGhost VPN will let you sign up for a 40-month plan(opens in a new tab) (advertised as “3 Years + 4 Months”) at just $2.23/month as part of its 17th anniversary sale. That’s 83% off its standard monthly fee of $12.99, which works out to a pretty massive savings of about $430.

Your subscription will renew as a three-year plan at $2.48/month after that initial term is up (if you decide to continue it), which is still a really good deal for a long-term VPN.

For the uninitiated, CyberGhost is one of the few no-logs providers that can reliably unblock Netflix, with dedicated servers for streaming(opens in a new tab) among its gigantic and globally diverse network. Those are regularly tested by CyberGhost to work with services like Netflix and Hulu so you can easily skirt geo-restrictions. (Love Island UK has entered the chat.) It also offers support for up to seven simultaneous connections across a variety of platforms, including Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, Linux, smart TVs, routers, and even Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Perhaps most importantly, CyberGhost lays claim to a headquarters in Romania — meaning it doesn’t fall under the jurisdiction of any “Eyes” intelligence-sharing alliances. (VPNs located in a Five, Nine, or 14 Eyes country like the U.S. can be legally forced to give up any user data they possess.)

While CyberGhost isn’t the most feature-rich VPN service out there (though there is an automatic kill switch), its simple, user-friendly interface makes it a good pick for VPN newbies. At the very least, lock in its extra-low 17th anniversary pricing while you still can and take advantage of its industry-leading 45-day money-back guarantee if you decide you want a more robust VPN down the road (see: ExpressVPN and NordVPN).
