That all ends today. Starting at 16:00 BST (11:00 AM ET), the Nothing Phone 1 livestream will divulge all the remaining secrets. That will include the phone’s price as well as the few remaining unknown specs.
Ultimately, the price of the phone is going to be the biggest news of the day. If Nothing can keep the phone cheap, it will immediately stand out amongst the boring mid-rangers on the market. With the phone’s cool look and interesting light-up “Glyph” interface, the phone is a breath of fresh air in a tired market.
However, if the Nothing Phone 1 livestream ends up showing off a $500+ premium mid-ranger, it could be bad news for Nothing. A price well above the $500 mark could put the phone at risk of losing sales to phones with bonafide flagship specs, such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and the Google Pixel 6.
