SAVE $100: Need an upright vacuum to tackle tough messes? The very capable Dyson Ball Animal 2 is on sale for just $399.99(opens in a new tab) at Walmart and the Dyson website(opens in a new tab) as of August 17 — that’s 20% off its MSRP.

While the rise of the robot vacuum has definitely done wonders for convenience, there still comes a time when you need to whip out the trusty upright to get that deep clean you crave. That’s where Dysons truly shine.

As of August 17, you can get the Dyson Ball Animal 2 upright vacuum on sale for just $399.99 at Walmart(opens in a new tab) or the Dyson website(opens in a new tab) — that’s $100 in savings on a configuration of one of our top picks from the brand.

The Ball Animal 2 was designed with pet owners in mind, which means its suction is truly impressive at 227 AW. The cleaner head drives deep into carpet fibers to capture dust, hair, and ground-in dirt, while the tangle-free turbine tool features counter-rotating brush heads that pick up hair on furniture and steps like a champ. Of course, there’s no brush bar for it to wrap around, which will also make your life a whole lot easier.

While it may not be cordless or compact, it is easy to whip around — thanks in part to the latest rendition of Dyson’s iconic Ball technology. Like many Dysons, the Ball Animal 2 also features whole-machine filtration, one-click dirt emptying for convenience, and a washable lifetime filter that prevents you from having to purchase more down the road. Its dust bin isn’t as big as its Total Clean sibling, but it’s also $200 cheaper with its discounted price(opens in a new tab), so you definitely get what you pay for.
