Is August too early to start thinking about the holidays? Not according to Dyson.
The fancy vacuum company released the 2022 special gift edition of its Airwrap multi-styler Complete Long(opens in a new tab) on Friday. Priced at $599.99, same as the standard version, this new Airwrap and its complimentary accessories come in a vivid Vinca Blue colorway with “Rosé” accents. (Rose gold isn’t cheugy until Dyson says it is, dammit.)
Said accessories include a Coanda smoothing dryer, two long barrels, two smoothing brushes, a round volumizing brush, a paddle brush, a detangling comb, a filter cleaning brush, a travel pouch, and a sleek case to store it all in.
Dyson updated the Airwrap earlier this summer by revamping some of those accessories. Its 1.2-inch and 1.6-inch barrels now curl in both directions, for example, and its smoothing dryer attachment is better at taming flyaways. This “Long” variant is designed for use on hair that’s chest-length or longer, FYI.
Full disclosure: Mashable shopping reporter and resident Airwrap expert Bethany Allard wasn’t especially impressed by its curling abilities (or the fact that it costs $600); it’s a definite pass if you already own the first-generation model. But if you’re the type of luxury-inclined person who heat-styles their hair every day, she said, “this product could very well be worth it.”
The Vinca Blue/Rosé Airwrap was available for purchase on Dyson.com(opens in a new tab) alongside a matching Supersonic hair dryer(opens in a new tab).
