HBO has published a trailer for House of the Dragon Episode 3, which appears to include the show’s first epic battle sequence. Spoilers for the Game of Thrones prequel follow below.

It appears that the Sea Snake and Daemon are teaming up to fight the Crabfeeder, a villain who nails his enemies to spikes and then serves them up to the crabs. The Crabfeeder is wreaking havoc, and it seems Episode 3 will include a showdown involving a big fight scene and dragons doing what they do best.

Elsewhere, the trailer teases out more of the drama involving succession plans for the Iron Throne. Things really are heating up–take a look at the Episode 3 trailer below.

House of the Dragon Episode 3 airs this Sunday, September 4 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. The debut episode on August 21 was a huge success, reaching 10 million viewers that day and 20 million in the first week.

Thanks to its strong start, HBO recently renewed House of the Dragon for a second season. HBO did not announce any further details on House of the Dragon Season 2, so there is no word yet on when it may begin filming, what new cast may join, or when it could be released.

House of the Dragon is set 176 before the events of Game of Thrones. It focuses on the Targaryen family and a challenge for the throne, featuring a lot of blood, gore, and political drama.
