The feature will allow users to make changes to a tweet within a 30-minute period after posting it. Edited tweets will appear with a label saying so. But there’s another stipulation – a tweet can only be edited up to five times.

According to Twitter, they are currently working on incorporating feedback to adjust the feature, while also aiming to “protect the integrity of the conversation and create a publicly accessible record of what was said.” Thus, the label which will include past versions of the edited tweet.

Twitter’s edit button will first roll out to Twitter Blue subscribers in New Zealand, followed by Australia, Canada, and the U.S. This all depends on the usage of the feature.
