Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Revealed: Everything You Need To Know

Where we dropping, loopers? Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 has arrived. That means the usual onslaught of new battle pass rewards, new weapons, map changes, Exotic weapons, NPCs, and more are all in the game waiting to be discovered. We’ve got the complete round-up of Fortnite new season details, so you can use this article as your one-stop-shop for everything there is to know about Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 battle pass

The Fortnite battle pass once again includes more than 100 rewards, including eight new characters and their alternate styles, several new loading screens, back bling, pickaxes, lobby tracks, emotes, and more. You’ll find an item-by-item gallery of every single reward in Fortnite’s new battle pass here soon.

New weapons and loot in Chapter 3, Season 4

It wouldn’t be a new season without a new loot pool. In Chapter 3, Season 4, Fortnite is adding two new unique guns at launch, as well as including several vaultings and unvaultings of other items. On top of those, two new supplemental items are in the game as of today, too. You can find all the info you need in our Fornite Chapter 3, Season 4 weapons guide. We also have a separate guide coming that will go over Chrome Splash, a new throwable support item, in full detail. You’ll definitely want to learn the many tricks involved with this new tool.

Map changes in Chapter 3, Season 4

Each season of Fortnite changes the map in ways big and small, for both gameplay and story reasons. In this season, the big storyline is the arrival of The Herald, a flowery villain who sits atop a throne of Chrome, a mysterious substance that is altering the chemical composition of the island. Two new named places of interest arrive, as well as new landmarks and other sights to see. Learn about these Fortnite map changes here.

Fortnite Characters: All NPCs in Chapter 3, Season 4

There are many new NPCs to meet and greet around the island, and as usual, each of them offers specific loot and services that you’ll want to get a hold of to bolster your inventory. We’re currently still tracking down all Fortnite characters on the island to start the season, but you can follow along here, where we’ll soon have a complete list alongside a map with all the markers you’ll need.

Exotics and Mythics in Chapter 3, Season 4

This season’s pool of Exotic- and Mythic-tier weapons is limited to just three Exotics to begin the season: Shadow Tracker, The Dub, and the Boom Sniper. We’re actively seeking out the NPCs who sell each of them, so check back soon for a guide including a map, prices, and full details on each weapon.

Vault Keys explained and how to get them

Vault Keys are a new item you’ll want to locate this season in order to get into new locked vaults stashed with piles of loot. There’s a method to the madness of tracking these down, and we’re preparing a guide on that subject now. Check back shortly for a complete how-to.
