Twitter now lets you mix videos, photos, and GIFs in a single tweet

It’s time to advance your meme game to the next level.

On Wednesday, Twitter announced a new feature that allows users to share different types of visual content, such as videos, images, and GIFs, within one tweet.

Tweet may have been deleted
(opens in a new tab)

The feature, which is live on iOS and Android, works as follows: while composing a tweet, tap either the Media or GIF icons and select what you want to share. The resulting “mixed media” tweets will work on all platforms, Twitter said.

There are limits, though: you can only add up to four images, videos, and GIFs per tweet.

The feature follows Twitter’s recent foray into video. The company recently launched a new video viewer, which shows full-screen videos and allows users to discover more videos by scrolling upwards.

Twitter also added a carousel with suggested videos to choose from, which is prominently featured in Twitter’s Explore tab.
