UEFA Champions League soccer: How to stream live in the US on Paramount+

Champions League, the soccer competition in which winning (and almost-winning) soccer clubs from around Europe compete for continent-wide glory, is available to stream live in the US on Paramount+.

Gone are the days when your only hope of catching these prestigious Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) match-ups was to hope and pray that your club’s big game was being carried by some obscure sports-oriented cable channel, often without any promotion or fanfare. In 2019, CBS announced its deal to stream all the action on what was then called CBS All Access, in addition to a more selective live TV broadcast on CBS Sports.

That deal has now been slightly tweaked and solidified. The streaming service in question is now called Paramount+, but the overarching broadcasting agreement was renewed through 2030 earlier this year.

The takeaway: If you want Champions league soccer in the US, Paramount+ is a no-brainer.

How to watch Champions League Soccer on Paramount+.

Every live game is on Paramount+, which costs $4.99 per month(opens in a new tab) for the base tier, which is all you need — and that’s after taking advantage of a one-week free trial. Naturally, once you subscribe, you can stream in-browser, or install the app on your mobile device or smart TV of choice.

Streaming live sports can be a bit frustrating, because broadcast deal sometimes prevent services from allowing access to certain features, but Paramount+ allows Champions League streamers to take advantage of DVR-like pause, replay, and late start options. Paramount+ calls this “Live Time Shifting,” and it’s available on most devices.

An upgrade to the $9.99 Premium tier will not affect your soccer broadcasts for the better, but it will get you ad-free streaming programs, and access to live National League Women’s Soccer, so that’s something to consider.
