If you’re a Galaxy Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra owner and have been wondering when you’ll get access to the Android 13-based One UI 5 beta, then we have some good news for you. Samsung is opening up its One UI 5 beta program to these devices in the US.
Yesterday, Samsung hosted SDC 2022 and one of the biggest announcements from the event was that the stable version of its One UI 5 will be coming to the Galaxy S22 series later this month. While this is great news for owners of the Galaxy S22 series, this leaves everyone else either stuck with the beta or not even that.
Off the heels of this announcement, however, Samsung has opened up its beta program to more devices in more countries. According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 was added to the list in a few countries earlier today. Now it appears that the One UI 5 beta will be available for unlocked Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra in the US.
The beta is not yet ready for download, but users can get started with the process by registering for the beta program. To do so, all you have to do is open up the Samsung Members app. When you open the app, you’ll see a banner announcing the beta. Click on the banner and it will take you to where you need to sign up. Once you’re signed up, you’ll get a notification when the beta firmware is ready for download.
Although the Galaxy S22 series will get the public release of the One UI 5 update first, other Galaxy devices likely won’t be far behind. It’s expected that subsequent models should also get access to the stable One UI 5 version sometime later this year.
