TL;DR

  • Samsung is rolling out the stable version of One UI 5 to the Galaxy Note 20 series.
  • The update will provide a new firmware version and October’s security patch.
  • The update is initially rolling out to Switzerland, with other regions to follow.

It wasn’t that long ago when the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra joined the One UI 5 beta program. In fact, owners in the US only got access to the beta around the middle of October. Now it appears the stable version of the Samsung-flavored Android 13 update is headed to the Note 20 series.

According to SamMobile, the One UI 5 has started to roll out to Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra users in some areas. The update has reportedly become available for devices in Switzerland, with the rest of Europe and other regions to follow. In addition to the major OS update, users will also be getting October’s 2022 security patch.

For the Galaxy Note 20 5G and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G, owners will be getting firmware version N98xBXXU5GVJE. The 4G variants of these devices will instead receive firmware version N980FXXU5GVJE.

If you reside in Switzerland and own one of these phones, you can download the update now. All you have to do is head over to Settings, then go to Software update and hit Download and install.

The Galaxy Note 20 series isn’t the only phone getting attention today, either. Apparently, Samsung is also ready to bring the stable version of One UI 5 to the Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy S21 series starting today as well. After spending such a long in beta, it’s nice to see the stable version roll out to a larger selection of devices finally.
