SAVE $99: As of Nov. 24, the Echo 5 and Echo Auto smart device bundle are $34.99 at Amazon. That’s a 74% discount.

What can Amazon’s latest Echo Show 5(opens in a new tab) do for you? What can’t it do? This multitalented device can wake you up with an artificial sunrise, call your friends, turn up or down the lights, check on your furry friends, meditate, watch Red Bull TV, or play music when you make an entrance. All that functionality is now available on the go with Echo Auto, which brings the voice-activated Alexa into your car.

Both are usually sold separately: the Echo Show 5 is listed at $84.99, and the Echo Auto is $49.99 (for a total of $134.98). But this Black Friday, you can get the whole bundle for $34.99(opens in a new tab) — saving you $99.

If you’re looking to bring your home into the 21st century, then the Echo Show 5 is a “no-brainer,” as Mashable’s reviewer said in October 2022. Redesigned this year for its second generation, it’s not as feature-laden as the Echo Show 8, with less features for video calling. But we liked its usefulness as a WFH office assistant, helping with hands-free multitasking. (There’s even a Kids edition with additional parental controls and a bevy of fun colors.) Alexa isn’t even a voice command away anymore: with new motion activation, Alexa can detect when you’re about to wake up and automatically turn on your lights, start your coffee maker, and anything else you can program into your morning routine. Ray Bradbury could never.

Echo Auto brings voice-activated Alexa into your car, via a little black box that sits on your dashboard. Connecting to your smartphone via Bluetooth, you can ask for navigation, music, or hands-free calling via eight microphones tuned to ignore road noise. The last time Echo Auto was close to this price was when it was introduced in 2018; then, it was $24.99, but it’s $49.99 on its own — which is why this two-device bundle is worth considering.
