It’s been over a decade since Harrison Ford’s last outing as Indiana Jones, but in 2023, the legendary archaeologist returns.
The trailer for the fifth installment in the action-adventure series, titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, is full of classic Indy hijinks. Car chases, booby traps, and ancient tombs play out alongside flashbacks to a de-aged Harrison Ford on what must be a prior Indy expedition. There are also some new characters along for the ride, including villains played by Mads Mikkelsen and Boyd Holbrook, and Indy’s god-daughter, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. (“He’s mildly related,” she quips when asked about their relationship.)
Naturally, this quick teaser doesn’t give us much to go in terms of plot, but it seems like Indy is taking up his fedora again for one more — potentially magical? — adventure. And as soon as that classic John Williams theme kicks in, we’re ready to join him for the ride.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is in theaters June 30.
