All good things must come to an end, and the four-hour $120 discount on the Galaxy Watch 5 Gold Edition has expired, but it’s still sporting a $100 instant rebate and the same guaranteed $75 trade-in value for “any smartwatch in any condition” while the regular edition Galaxy Watch 5 only has a $40 instant rebate. So even though the Golf Edition is $50 to start with, it’s still $10 cheaper than the regular Silver, Black, and Pink Gold/Sapphire versions.
Granted, $10 is probably worth the upcharge to get a color other than black, but the Golf Edition being a teeny bit cheaper certainly helps if you need something for the hard-to-shop-for dad in your life. If mine wasn’t already a GolfPad subscriber, I’d be grabbing one of these for him. If I was buying for myself, though, the Silver 40mm or Sapphire 44mm are hands-down the best Galaxy Watch 5 colorways.

At full price, the Golf Edition goes for $50 more than the regular Watch 5. But considering the value involved and the discount we face today, this model comes across all the more tempting.
The GolfBuddy Smart Caddie app should be essential for all golf players, allowing users to access some 40,000 golf courses worldwide. The app provides access to satellite imagery and maps of courses, tracking the player’s position using the watch’s own GPS rather than having to rely on your phone and kill its battery. It provides information about the distance to the green, nearby holes, and even guides for course targeting. Users can keep score right on their watches, so you can stop pulling your phone out after every stroke like the cell phone addict you swear you aren’t.
Samsung’s current instant rebate gives you the opportunity to order the Galaxy Watch5 Golf Edition for a great price, only costing you $230, instead of $330, for the 40mm case size.
