We’re slowly getting closer to the end of 2022. But as this year comes to an end, the start of the launch season for 2023’s smartphones begins. One of the first handsets that will be released in 2023 will be the OnePlus 11 according to a new announcement.
The phone that was originally expected to be called the OnePlus 11 Pro — but ended up dropping the “Pro” moniker — now has a release date. OnePlus has announced that its next flagship device will launch globally on February 7, 2023. In the past, OnePlus has opted to launch this series between January and April, so February 7 falls right in line with what was expected.
The show will be called the “OnePlus Cloud 11 Launch Event” and will be held in New Delhi, India. If you’re wondering about the name of the event, OnePlus say that the “Cloud 11” wording is meant to represent the upgraded technology and performance of its latest products. It’s also meant to represent the user experience going above being on Cloud 9 and elevating to Cloud 11.
While the focus of the event will be on the OnePlus 11, it won’t be the only device getting the spotlight. Along with the phone, the company plans to announce and launch a variety of other devices, including the OnePlus Buds Pro 2.
Unfortunately, OnePlus avoided mentioning other important details like pricing or availability. However, the electronics manufacturer did state that more information on the launch will come in the following weeks.
