Best Buy is kicking off 2023 the right way — with deals.
The retailer’s big 3-Day Sale(opens in a new tab) is underway and features great discounts across various categories, especially in the gaming department. Here are some of the best gaming deals we found during the sale so far, including the Xbox Series S at the same price we saw on Black Friday, a worthwhile PS5 accessory (if you’re lucky enough to have one), and a pretty sweet gaming laptop.

Why we like it
There’s really no better budget console on the market right now than the Xbox Series S, especially when it comes to new-gen (that’s right, we aren’t saying “next-gen” anymore). It’s affordable, compact, and boasts almost all the great features that its fancier sibling, the Xbox Series X, does. That includes lightning-fast load times, 120 FPS and HDR support, ray tracing, and more. The only things you won’t get are the built-in disc drive or true 4K resolution of the Series X, but you’ll be able to play games in 1440p, which still looks fantastic. Add on an Xbox Game Pass subscription, and you have a pretty amazing combo for the price.
Why we like it
Let’s be real: The PlayStation 5 simply did not launch with enough storage. It’s a frustrating reality considering how expensive they are (not to mention how difficult they are to even get your hands on), but it’s where we’re at. So that’s why we highly recommend picking up an extra SSD to pair with your shiny new console. This one from Western Digital is top-tier, and it’s $130 off during Best Buy’s sale.
Why we like it
We love gaming laptops because they offer a lot of the power you can get with a desktop rig with the helpful addition of portability. This one is no exception and boasts high-end internal components like an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU, an AMD Radeon RX 6700S GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. If you’ve never owned a gaming laptop, this is a great start.
