Forspoken is a magical adventure that follows Alfre “Frey” Holland (Ella Balinska), a young woman who finds herself yanked from the streets of New York and thrown into the fantasy world of Athia. With her talking bangle Cuff, she has to get up to speed quickly on how to use powerful magic to stave off the corrupted creatures of the devastating “Break” influencing the land. Her ultimate goal may be freeing Athia from the ruling class of the Tantas, but ultimately she just wants to get back home…if that’s even possible.
This PlayStation exclusive is eventually PC-bound, but right now it’s available only for PS5 players. It’s a spellbinding adventure with parkour, special cloaks, and nail painting for Frey, who’s got a spunky attitude all her own. It’s certainly worth experiencing, especially at a discount.
