Activision Blizzard agrees to pay $35 million to settle workplace misconduct charges

“I guess they were counting on the deal to be approved by now in order to drop these charges.”

Quite the opposite. Usually when a big corporation agrees to settle a multi-million dollar lawsuit/s, it’s (generally speaking) because they don’t want potential buyers to be swayed off with the notion of having to inherit said lawsuits (when you buy a company, you inherit their debts, as well as lawsuits).

Also, by hoping the deal (MS) doesn’t go through, you’re essential wanting Kotick’s reign of terror at Activision to continue because the purchase is literally the only way he’s stepping down. Leave your fanboy bias aside.
