Everybody wants a Galaxy S23 Ultra according to Samsung’s preorder results

Today is an exciting day for Samsung as it globally launches the Galaxy S23 series. However, that may not be the only reason the company is celebrating today. It appears that its preorder sales have surpassed previous generations and the Galaxy S23 Ultra is the clear favorite.

Since the beginning of this month, consumers have been able to preorder the Galaxy S23 series on Samsung’s website. As preorders come to a close, the Korean tech giant has revealed some interesting information about its preorder results in a blog post.

Although Samsung didn’t provide any official stats, it claims this year’s preorders managed to exceed the number of preorders for the Galaxy S22 series. The numbers also easily surpassed the Galaxy S21 series, apparently doubling the amount of preorders after one week.

Between the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra, it appears that the Ultra is the handset of choice among consumers. According to the company, the Galaxy S23 Ultra nabbed 60% of the total preorders. Samsung didn’t break down the percentages for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus.

“The great momentum we’re witnessing speaks to customers’ excitement about products that push the envelope and give them the freedom to express themselves creatively,” said TM Roh, president and head of mobile experience business at Samsung Electronics. “This year’s preorder numbers echo our customers’ strong trust in our brand and demonstrate how our commitment to ground-breaking innovation and sustainability continues to resonate with consumers.”
