Make your life a little easier with these discounted smart home devices.

Sure, you could argue that smart technology has gotten a bit out of hand. But turning your house or apartment into a smart home has benefits, including increased energy efficiency, convenience, safety, and security, to name a few.

If you’re interested in converting, here are three of our favorite Amazon smart home devices — all of which are on sale as of Feb. 27.

Best smart plug deal

Why we like it

Have you ever left the house wondering: Did I turn off the coffee pot? If so, you may want to consider investing in a set of smart plugs. The Amazon Smart Plug is Alexa-compatible and can be controlled via voice command or the Alexa app (which means you do not need a smart hub to use this device). With a smart plug, you can schedule the lights, fan, or anything else you don’t want running 24/7 to turn on and off at a specific time.

Best Echo deal

Why we like it

Amazon’s Echo Glow is a kid’s version of the Echo Dot. This multifunctional device is Alexa-compatible and can be used as a nightlight, alarm clock, radio, and timer. The Rainbow Timer function, for example, is designed to give your kids a visual reminder of when it’s time to get their day started and when it’s time to wind down.

Best smart monitor deal

Why we like it

If you’re worried about the air quality you breathe indoors, the Amazon Smart Air Quality Monitor may bring you peace of mind. This little gadget keeps tabs on five air quality factors: particulate matter (PM 2.5), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon monoxide (CO), humidity, and temperature. Whenever something’s off, you’ll get a notification via the Alexa app.

Note: This smart monitor does not have a speaker or microphone. You will need to purchase an Echo device for voice control capability and audible alert features.
