Gmail and Google Calendar are very closely intertwined. 1. Open the Gmail app on your phone.
2. Tap the three horizontal lines on the upper left-hand side.
3. Scroll down and tap the Settings option.
4. Choose your Gmail account if you are logged in to multiple accounts on your device.
5. Scroll down again to find the Smart features and personalization settings.
6. Uncheck the box next to Smart features and personalization.
7. Press Turn off features.
Once you have turned off Smart features and personalization on your Gmail app, you won’t see those events in your Google Calendar anymore. This won’t get rid of older events that already ended up there, but you can always delete them individually.
