No, it really looks that meh. The gameplay is out and the proof is right there for all to see.
But to your point, I don’t want this game to fail and crash the studio into the ground. No, I rather the game under perform just enough for it to be a wake up call and bring them back to the type of games and gameplay they did best. But without any loss of jobs, that’s for sure.
Make a Vampire game with Dishonored and Neuro Shock (not Prey 2017) style gameplay if they like. With Microsawft money they’ll be able to expand on the gameplay while also going all AAAAAAA on the graphics and presentation in order to keep the big wigs and the masses happy.
Now THAT’S why you buy and keep a studio like Arkane around for. That’s what you call a Bona Fide 1st Party Developer right there.
