While we know what the hottest-selling vehicles in the U.S. are every year, less has been reported about generational preferences. It only makes sense that people in different stages in life would gravitate toward different vehicles. Registration data collected by S&P Global Mobility and first reported by Business Insider shows the most popular picks across 7 age demographics.

Generation Z (18-24): Toyota Camry, followed by the Toyota RAV4, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Chevrolet Silverado

Younger millennials (25-34): Toyota RAV4, followed by the Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ram 1500

Older millennials (35-44): Chevrolet Silverado, followed by the Ford F-150, Tesla Model Y, Ram 1500, Toyota RAV4

Generation X (45-54): Chevrolet Silverado, followed by the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota RAV4, Tesla Model Y

Younger baby boomers (55-64): Ford F-150, followed by the Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota RAV4, Ram 1500, Honda CR-V

Older baby boomers (65-74): Toyota RAV4, followed by the Honda CR-V, Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Equinox

Pre-boomers (75 and older): Chevrolet Equinox, followed by the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado
