2024 Acura Integra Type S delivers 320 hp, sporty styling

Acura has equipped the Integra Type S with a dual-axis front suspension — the same as with the Civic Type R — and widened the tracks by 3.5 inches in the front and 1.9 inches in the rear. The front stabilizer bar adds 2 millimeters of thickness. The front and rear rotors also are larger, by 1.5 inches in the front and almost 1 inch in the rear.

The Type S gets a limited slip differential, a performance-tuned adaptive damper system and NSX-inspired, lightweight 19-inch wheels wrapped in sticky summer tires.

The souped-up compact sedan is the fourth performance variant from Acura in 24 months. Also in that group is the TLX Type S and MDX Type S as well as the limited-run NSX Type S for the 2022 model year, which marked the end of the hybrid supercar’s six-year run.

A Type S variant of Acura’s forthcoming ZDX electric crossover is expected to go on sale this fall as a 2024 model.

The Integra Type S will be built at Honda’s factory in Marysville, Ohio, on the same line as the Integra, TLX and TLX Type S. The four-cylinder turbocharged engine will come from the Anna Engine Plant, also in Ohio, which also produces the V-6 inside the TLX Type S and MDX Type S.

Pricing for the Integra Type S will be announced closer to launch.
