Agreed. Idk why they dog this Horizon. Maybe it is an 8 but it looks superb and Forbidden West deserved to touch 90. Outlets like IGN claiming it’s better than HZD yet scores worse. Different reviewers but still a bad look.
And idc HFW was not an 88. It was a phenomenal improvement over the 89 HZD. It deserved a few points higher. 90-91. Biome and enemy variety, excellent story, great combat, benchmark grfx and 4A production, improved settlements, quests, characters. Great next gen bells n whistles, new puzzles, flying mounts, weapons, gadgets, abilities. GG did exactly what they needed to make a great sequel.
Tired of the idiots claiming only eye candy, copy paste, and Ubitower bs. All idiotic. Even the “Ubitowers” were an innovation upon HZD. I wouldn’t get on a soapbox for every Sony game despite ppl’s perception. The Uncharteds, Demon Souls Remake, Miles Morales, GoWs scored as they deserve. I don’t have to hype those games, they got their credit. However, HFW did not and the lukewarm mood i get from many ppl is baffling. For me, HFW is a great 4A game that shows the talent and work ethic of a superb studio like GG. I love HFW. Beta.
For those who disagree, tell me why. Tell me what i said about improvements was wrong. Break down each element. HFW is a better game than HZD on almost every level. HZD was just new at the time. The setting, game, etc was new so perhaps that’s why ppl ‘like it more? Perhaps u can argue story but that’s subjective and both were good imo. Design and mechanically HFW is better.
