Current-gen already have the added benefit of 60fps and 4k support,
Obviously they can do more, but this comment from the dev points to that if they were going to do it, they want to do it right
Its not so much that a port is impossible, its just they see it as if they did one they might as well go all out with it, which at that point just build a ground up experience
Thus is about taking full advantage not just a quick feature port
