Like I said in another comment:
Remedy missed an opportunity to clearly explain why they want to avoid ppl finishing the 15 hours and rushing to trade them for a new AAA game around Black Friday basically cutting lots of sales from an IP that has never been an instant hit and will probably manage like Control, Dishonored, Wolfenstein, etc.
It would still piss some ppl but Diehard fan of Alan Wake would clearly understand.
Still, Remedy could have also avoided that backlash simply by having a limited-run version released for Christmas.
