Blizzard is holding a Diablo 4 Hardcore Victories contest, in which participants can compete to have their usernames added to a statue of Lilith. The first 1,000 players who reach level 100 on Hardcore in Diablo 4 are eligible.

This comes by way of a tweet from the official Diablo 4 Twitter account, which shared the official rules for the contest. As the company explains, players who had pre-release access in May 2023 are not eligible for this contest.

Blizzard explained that players who reach this milestone must send a public tweet to the Diablo Twitter page using the hashtag #Diablo4Hardcore, along with their Battle.net BattleTag, and a video or picture proving they’ve reached level 100 in Hardcore Mode. The contest runs from June 1 to September 1.

Reaching level 100 in Hardcore is no easy feat, as this mode has permadeath enabled. This means players’ characters are completely wiped after dying in-game, requiring a high degree of skill to complete.

“Diablo IV, at this time, cannot escape comparison to the past of the franchise it belongs to, but it’s thankfully a game that has been crafted with a strong awareness of what made each one either revered or reviled. It represents a measured approach to combining the many elements from previous entries that worked into a system that feels like the new standard-bearer for action role-playing. Coupled with a new benchmark for storytelling in the franchise, and a solid narrative foundation for any potential new adventures, it’s easy to see Diablo IV as something I’ll regularly check-in on for a long time to come,” wrote Alessandro Barbosa in GameSpot’s Diablo 4 review.

Diablo 4 will officially launch on June 5 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It releases on June 1 for those who purchase the Deluxe or Ultimate edition.
