Ed Boon talked about the design of Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Kenshi, and Kitana as well as their story. He also went into details both the “loose combat” design the team has employed this time around for Mortal Kombat, and the brand new kameo system, which sees characters like Sonya Blade, Kano, and Jax enter the fray as kameo fighters. Mortal Kombat 1 releases September 19, 2023 to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Windows.
