I hear ya shinoff the game isn’t perfect, but my lord are the highs high, but that does make the lows more noticiable. But again the highs of this game and the amount of them there are is just insane.
The writer is wrong though, ff is whatever the creative team envision there ff to be. Whether that is turn based party, a mix like ff7r or an action RPG like ff16 and all them are equally wnjoyable in there own way. The strength of ff has always been a great story to bind all the elements together to make you want to keep playing.
The series has always been a chameleon ans should be allowed to remain that way, changing to the creaters whim, while staying true to classic final fantasy like 16 does.
While the battle system is foreign, this is a true ff in every other sense of the word.
Ff shouldn’t be tied down to one specific system.
