Disney Dreamlight Valley: Ready Player Fun Quest Guide

After unlocking Vanellope by following her initial questline in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll be able to begin leveling up her friendship. At friendship level 4, she’ll offer you a quest called “Ready Player Fun,” which tasks you with quite a task list to accomplish. Soon after, you’ll engage in some hide-and-seek. If you’d like to know how to find Vanellope and complete the quest, we’ve got you covered here.

How to complete “Ready Player One” in Disney Dreamlight Valley

When you reach friendship level 4 with Vanellope, accept the “Ready Player One” quest, which you’ll soon find tasks you with some pretty standard tasks to complete around the valley.

  • Mine 3 gems
  • Catch 5 fish
  • Plant 30 crops
  • Collect 30 crops or fruits

These are easy to knock out naturally, but if you’d like to speed up the process of planting and harvesting, buy and plant Wheat, as it grows in well under a minute.

When you’ve knocked all of that out, speak to Vanellope and she’ll mention going to hide somewhere very dark for a game of hide-and-seek. First, though, you’ll have to head over to Scrooge McDuck’s store while she hides.

After Vanellope hides, you’ll need to set out to find her. While you could ask for a few hints from villagers if you’d like, the simplest way to find her is just to head over to the Vitalys Mines in Sunlit Plateau. Inside, head to the left to begin noticing a candy trail. Follow this trail through the mines until you find Vanellope behind some mine carts about halfway through.

Vanellope is hiding behind some mine carts about halfway through the Vitalys Mines.

Speak with Vanellope again and she’ll ask to race you to the entrance of the mines. Hover your way back to the entrance and go outside to speak with her once more. Her last request is for you to catch three fish in under three minutes which, as you might guess, is an exceptionally easy task to complete.

Since you’re right by flowing water coming out of the Vitalys Mines, simply look for fishing spots along this small river. You should be able to snag three fish in less than a minute, then you can return to Vanellope to finally complete the “Ready Player One” quest.
