AMC has renewed two spin-off series from The Walking Dead, as reported by Deadline. The Walking Dead: Dead City, starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, featuring Norman Reedus, will both be returning for Season 2. The announcement was made at San Diego Comic-Con.

“We can’t wait to bring Dead City fans back to the epicenter of Manhattan for more zip-lining action with Maggie and Negan,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks. “And, ahead of its debut, we’re thrilled to double down on Daryl as we bring the apocalypse to France, transforming Notre Dame, Pont du Gard, and other iconic locales into an apocalyptic landscape unlike anything we’ve seen before.” The network also released the first trailer for Daryl Dixon, which you can see below.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will debut on September 10. The series revolves around Daryl’s journey through a broken yet resilient France, trying to find his way back home while forming unexpected connections along the way.

Meanwhile, The Walking Dead: Dead City follows Maggie and Negan as they navigate a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, which has long been isolated from the outside world and is now overrun with the undead and chaotic inhabitants. The show’s six-episode first season premiered on June 18, with the season finale scheduled for July 23.

Additionally, AMC revealed that the spin-off series centered around Rick and Michonne will be titled The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, with an expected launch in 2024. A quick teaser was also released.

Eli Jorné serves as showrunner and executive producer for The Walking Dead: Dead City, overseen by Scott M. Gimple, the chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe. Cohan and Morgan also serve as executive producers for the show.
