Toyota Connected North America said it promoted Christopher Yang to CEO of the data and software unit from his current role as vice president and COO.
The appointment follows the exit of former CEO Steve Basra, who left the company June 30, the automaker said Wednesday amid a batch of executive changes.
Yang is also group vice president of business development and deputy general counsel of Toyota Legal One at Toyota North America. Replacing Yang is James George, who is also now a member of Toyota Connected’s board of directors. George is general manager of EV charging solutions at Toyota North America as well.
