Most likely PS5 Pro Specs:
CPU Upgrade: Zen 3+ (Rembrandt) it’s a drag and drop CPU that offers ~20%~ more performance for locked 120fps.
GPU Upgrade: Ideally custom 54CU RDNA3+ laptop GPU based on Navi 32
RAM Upgrade: Either 4GB DDR5 + 16GB GDDR6 OR 20GB – 24GB GDDR6
Nothing else really needs to change hardware-wise outside of having more ports and the CPU and GPU are basically drag and drop upgrades, meaning they both should be useable on the same motherboard models they’re using, and developers should have to do little to no coding to make things work.
The CPU upgrade helps PSVR2 get native 120fps in most games, as well as, getting those “120fps” modes in current AAA games locked. The GPU upgrade will also aid in resolutions and frame rates as true PS5 games start dropping to sub 1080 – 1440p native with UE5 on base PS5, while providing a fairly decent upgrade in raytracing, and the potential of FSR 3 with “frame-generation”.
In reality it’ll be around ~50% – 60%~ more powerful than the base PS5 on average, with some games getting larger leaps than others (especially those games that were previously CPU-bound possibly having access to 40fps / 60fps modes, but FSR 3.0 is the real game-changer if it supports it.
