As of Jan. 2, you can get the OnePlus Pad for just $429.99 at Amazon. That’s $50 off its normal price of $479.99, and a savings of 10%. For less than $500, you can get a viable iPad competitor that’s certainly no slouch.

The best tablets: iPads are great, but have you tried literally anything else?

This tablet is an excellent performer and, according to Mashable reviewer Alex Perry, “might be better” than the iPad in several ways. It boasts an 11-inch LCD display with a 2800×2000 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 9000 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and both WiFi and cellular data capabilities. It’s lightweight with an aluminum body and curved glass, making it super portable and perfect for demanding tasks on the go. It even has a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.

Perry praised the OnePlus pad for its bigger and higher resolution than the 10th gen iPad, its improved refresh rate, and plenty of storage. “Broadly speaking, it’s fun to use thanks to quality performance and a neat (if limiting) splitscreen feature,” Perry wrote.
