‘Succession’ auction has the ‘ludicrously capacious bag’ and more

Forget quiet luxury inspired by Succession. What about actually wearing the Roys’ clothes?

Costumes and props from the award-winning HBO show are up for auction until Jan. 13. Yes, that includes the “ludicrously capacious bag” (as of publication, bidding was at $1,300), as well as other iconic pieces that played key roles in the show and launched major meme moments.

The auction is held by Heritage Auctions with HBO as a pre-Emmys celebration, per IndieWire. Succession was nominated for a whopping 27 Emmys for its fourth and final season, which concluded in a grotesquely fitting way for eldest boy Kendall, Roman, Shiv, Tom, Cousin Greg, and the rest of the characters we love to hate.

Speaking of complicated parasocial relationships with the Roys, why not take the obsession one step further and own a piece of the show? And wow, there are so many gems. It wouldn’t be a Succession auction without the understated designer clothes in muted colors and rich materials. There are suits from Prada, Lanvin, Hugo Boss, Theory, and more.

But the real standouts are some of the props that might actually be too triggering to own. Such as the “Boar on the Floor” game complete with dried (real?) sausages and glass tumblers (currently $1,050); Roman’s eulogy for Logan (currently $2,800), devastatingly scribbled on pink index cards; and fake New York Magazine ($1,550) and Forbes ($1,600) magazine covers that would look deliciously menacing framed on a wall.

Oh, you can also bid on the “Doderick the Dog” costume that Cousin Greg threw up in (currently $825). Thankfully, there are no blood bags up for auction.

Of course, there are nine days left until the auction closes, so the prices are bound to go up from here. But whatever the cost, it’s a small amount to pay for the privilege of cosplaying in the nest of vipers.
