Look, I’m no rocket scientist here, but when you’re releasing AA games that don’t feel like they’re worth the asking price and then making a AAA game and telling everyone you’re going to appeal to non-fans with it, I feel like you’re going to get some flat sales.
Why not focus money into a Parasite Eve Remake? Or things fans have been asking for? Take another shot at a turn-based FF game and see if the reception is any better. I mean, I doubt it can be worse, right? How about an Einhander and Xenogears HD Remaster? Like, you have all these exceptional IPs you’re sitting on. I’m not saying spend $200 mill on an Einhander game, but try an HD Remaster. Those aren’t expensive to produce.
Also, NFT games are not the answer and neither are GaaS.
