Evo 2024 Lineup Revealed, Includes Tekken 8 And Two Street Fighter Games

The annual Evolution Championship Series started as a showcase of the best fighting game players in the world, but in recent years the event has grown to become a celebration of fighting games as a whole. Evo 2024 looks to continue that growth, as its organizers have announced a new venue, new dates, and new ways to experience the show.

Evo 2024 will feature eight fighting games as the marquee tournaments–seven current games and one “throwback.” Four of the games–Tekken 8, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, Mortal Kombat 1, and Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes–are making their Evo debut in 2024.

The Evo 2024 lineup

The eight games that will be featured at Evo 2024 are as follows:

  • Street Fighter 6 (2nd appearance)
  • Tekken 8 (1st appearance)
  • Mortal Kombat 1 (1st appearance)
  • Guilty Gear Strive (3rd appearance)
  • The King Of Fighters XV (3rd appearance)
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising (1st appearance)
  • Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes (1st appearance)
  • Street Fighter III: Third Strike (Throwback Game, 8th appearance)

The Evo Showcase has also been confirmed to return, which will feature “a dedicated stage for publisher panels, game reveals, and exhibitions,” according to the official announcement. Last year’s Evo Showcase featured panels on Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, and more.

The 2024 event will take place July 19-21 at the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, which will replace the Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Hall as host. This is the first time the event has relocated in nearly a decade, as Evo has called the Mandalay Bay home since 2016.

The new venue also brings a new ticketing structure, where each ticket will provide general admission to both the main Evo stage and the show floor, which includes a massive arcade, artist alley, vendors, and the return of the Beyond the Arcade Stick Museum.

Tickets to Evo 2024 are available now on the main Evo website.
