Loving this game it’s so much fun, and Ichiban Is a fantastic character. I even prefer him to Kiryu because of his more upbeat and positive attitude. Mind you, even in this game, Kiryu seems a little more laid back, in spite – or more because of – what’s happening to him. Great writing and it really is a lot of fun.
The job system is more fleshed out than the last game but for me it still lacks the depth of a full on RPG, although it’s definitely heading in the right direction. It manages to strike a fine balance of recreating the free form combat of the earlier games, and the turn based combat of a traditional RPG. Love it to bits. An early contender for GOTY for me.
