Andor Season 2 Wraps Filming, As Diego Luna Shares Heartfelt Message

Andor Season 2 has finished filming, series star Diego Luna confirmed on Instagram. He wrote a post to announce that today, February 9, was the final day of filming for the season and the entire series. As announced previously, the show is ending after Season 2.

“I could not be more thankful to the entire crew for this amazing experience and the years of hard work,” he wrote. “More than 700 people have worked on this production, and it is impossible to say goodbye and thank you to everyone individually, which is why I write here. THANK YOU for the love and the wonderful experience.”

Luna previously told Variety that he’s happy Andor is ending after two seasons, saying it is “really important for my mental health.”

Prior to the onset of the Hollywood strikes, series creator Tony Gilroy said Andor Season 2 would likely release in August 2024, but that schedule might have changed since.

Season 2 will tell advance the story up to the point where the movie Rogue One began. “You know where we’re going. You saw that Death Star blow up. We make that happen,” Gilroy said.

In addition to Luna as the title character, Andor stars Syril Karn, Stellan Skarsgard, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denis Gough, and Adria Arjona.

In addition to Andor Season 2, other upcoming Star Wars shows include The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew. On the movie side, the next Star Wars film is The Mandalorian & Grogu.
