If by “pulling out all the stops” you mean, “heavy micro transactions” then yes, they are ruining the game, But Ubisoft is certainly not the first company to pull this bs and they can ruin and put out a crap product if they want to, it’s theirs!
There’s a crazy notion floating around that consumers are somehow “owed” the entertainment and that these companies are “messing up” their games. What’s with this entitled consumer mindset? The devs don’t owe us a thing and we certainly don’t have to buy the game day one or ever if we don’t like the way they push the product. Popular IP or not.
If we all thought this way they wouldn’t get away with this bs. But the real kicker is…
In the article there’s a screenshot with the caption, “I was excited for this game, still am”
And that’s how they can get away with it, they know Star Wars fans will still purchase, even with internet connection required and all the micro transactions throughout. Put your wallet where your mouth is and don’t purchase the game and publish an article about why, that’s how we stop this shady shite.
